Cambridge architects DPA will be on hand to give an insight into the challenges of designing buildings in a heritage city.

Visit DPA Architects websitehttp://www.dpaarchitects.co.uk/

Nicholas Juett is the resident artist for DPA Architects in King Street.

“I am recording the changes of the architectural heritage of our city as it undergoes subtle shifts in modernisation, improvement and renovation. This exhibition delves into these upheavals. Public debate is active across the city, inviting comment on a diversity of proposed developments.

"My paintings are not literal - they try to convey the mood and character of a place. Some of my paintings are of buildings that no longer exist, others are of ones yet to be.

"I have a special interest in the proposed Chesterton Station, which is a stone’s throw from my studio. Also in Chesterton, the ‘Penny Ferry’ building project has been the subject of controversy. See what the future buildings will look like in an oil painting, then compare with an earlier version of the same street.”
