Discover the joys, the endeavours, the need to express the differing cultural values of three recognised artists, and see how they come to terms with personal, universal, and historical events in their own inimitable style.

Mohammed Djazmi has said, 'I wanted to portray the social suffering that I was encountering.....'; '…..the problems faced by ordinary people.....who live in unfair autocracies.....'.

Mohammed Djazmi died in March 2016, but would have wanted this exhibition to go ahead without him. He was a gifted, a feeling, yet modest artist with a strong sense of humanity. Deanna Tyson and John Lyons are honoured to share and celebrate the memory of his life and work in this exceptional exhibition.

The work of these artists will delight and awaken your senses.  Deanna Tyson is known for her challenging yet delicate touch of dynamic imagery, whilst John Lyons searches forces beneath the surface of things to show their personal, creative, and universal interconnectedness.

This is a an exhibition not to be missed, at a time not to be missed, when artists such as Mohammed Djazmi speak truth to canvas. Be prepared, in the work on show at Ely's Babylon Arts, in Cultural Connections, you will find the extraordinary and the inspiring in a major, life-enhancing exhibition.

We look forward to seeing you there.
